Welcome to Mayfair branch of BSKF. The Mayfair branch, under various names, has a very long history under the tutelage of Mizuno sensei. In the 1980s the branch was located in the present venue, Danceworks, a dance studio in the heart of the West End, near to Selfridges. In 1992 we re-located to The Place, off Euston Road, and were known as Euston branch for a long time. Prior to returning to Danceworks we also spent some time at Somers Town Sports Centre (part of University College London) and Pineapple Dance Studio in Covent Garden.
Mayfair branch has been prolific in spawning further new BSKF branches. In the early 1990s, Euston kenshi Tony Kehoe and John Linney founded the branch at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). In 1995, the branch at University College London was founded by Robert Villiers and David Dunn, and later George Hyde took over and expanded to University of London Union. David Dunn and Sean Dixie went on to establish Imperial College branch, James Yeo took on the Brixton Childrens branch, while Robert Villiers and Blue Popovic started the Angel branch.
Our doors are always open to new and existing kenshi to join us training in an enviable location in London, with one of the leading Shorinji Kempo instructors anywhere in the world.
