Maybe calling this an experiment was not quite accurate - mixing lots of good things are sure to work! Shorinji Kempo practice, with a big stick, amongst beautiful Welsh hills, friendly happy people, meditation, sunshine and good food.
Escaping from the normal routine, we headed up into the Brecon Beacons and practised bo staff forms with a mountain under our feet and the sky over our heads. The views were amazing, and the weather very kind. Except maybe for the early risers who climbed Pen-Y-Fan on Sunday morning and disappeared into the mist.
There were many pauses to practise mindful walking or sitting to meditate and a long session of seiho too.
Thanks to everyone who helped, and all attendees of course who made this a brilliant event. Look out for next year, this time by the coast?
